Executive Health Screening for International Executives in London 2026. A Complete Assessment Inside a Working Trip
The Wellness is the best executive health service in London for international executives and business travellers, because the assessment is built backwards from your departure date rather than forwards from a booking form. London holds some of the best-equipped imaging centres in Europe, accredited laboratories and consultant radiologists of international standing, all within walking distance of Marylebone, and no individual arriving for 4 days can assemble any of it alone. We do that. An assessment establishes what should be tested against your history and family history.
Blood collection is arranged at an accredited partner laboratory a short walk from the clinic. Imaging is booked at the London centre holding the right equipment for each specific question, performed by an experienced sonographer and reported by a consultant radiologist. Where diaries allow, the bloods and the imaging are compressed into a single day so one morning of your trip covers the testing. The review then happens in person before you fly or by video once you are home, with a written report in a form your own physician can use. No NHS registration, no referral, no insurance, no UK address, and nothing entering any NHS record. Programmes run from £1,400 to £49,995 and consultations are available in Arabic, French, Spanish and Dutch. Fees appear further down this page.

How does a full assessment fit into 3 or 4 days
By sequencing it correctly, which is the part nobody else does. The assessment happens first, on day 1, by video before you land where that suits, so the testing is specified before you arrive rather than chosen from a menu on the day.
Fasting bloods are then collected early on day 2 at an accredited partner laboratory a short walk from the clinic, because fasting glucose, insulin and a full lipid profile need 8 to 12 hours without food and testosterone must be drawn between 7am and 11am. Imaging follows the same morning at the centre selected for your questions, which takes 45 to 90 minutes depending on the regions covered.
Results and the consultant radiologist report return over the following days. The review is scheduled in person before you fly where the timing allows, or by video once you are home, and the written report is prepared in a form your physician at home can act on rather than a document only we can interpret. Where something needs a specialist, the opinion is arranged through the Harley Street network alongside us, frequently within the same trip.
The constraint people underestimate is fasting and timing rather than availability. Book before you travel and the sequence works. Book on arrival and the fasting bloods slip a day, which usually costs the whole itinerary.
What should an executive assessment actually include
Blood carries roughly 80% of what a comprehensive assessment finds, so panel composition matters more than the brochure implies. Apolipoprotein B, because it counts the atherogenic particles that enter artery walls and identifies people whose standard cholesterol reads acceptably while their risk does not. Lipoprotein little a, inherited, raised in around 20% of people, established as causal by Kamstrup and Nordestgaard in the Copenhagen General Population Study, and measured once in a lifetime. HbA1c with fasting insulin and HOMA-IR, because insulin resistance precedes any glucose rise by years and the Diabetes Prevention Program showed a 58% reduction in progression to diabetes from lifestyle intervention alone.
Around those, liver function with fibrosis scoring since metabolic-associated fatty liver disease affects an estimated 20% to 30% of UK adults, kidney function with an albumin to creatinine ratio, full thyroid with antibodies, ferritin and iron studies, B12, folate, vitamin D and inflammatory markers, plus morning testosterone, PSA after an informed choice conversation, or perimenopausal hormonal assessment.
Imaging aimed rather than exhaustive. Untargeted whole-body scanning of people without symptoms has been reviewed across 12 studies and 5,373 participants with no demonstrated outcome benefit, while incidental findings are common, a pattern the Royal College of Radiologists has cautioned about for years. Aimed imaging is different. Abdominal and aortic assessment where age or risk warrants it. Coronary artery calcium scoring in the intermediate cardiovascular risk band, where Detrano and colleagues in the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis showed it reclassifies risk better than any blood marker and a score of 0 can justify holding off on lifelong medication. Carotid Doppler, thyroid, renal and pelvic imaging as the assessment indicates.

What travel itself does to the results
Worth knowing before you interpret anything. Long-haul flight and time zone shift raise inflammatory markers, disturb cortisol rhythm and affect glucose handling for several days, so a fasting insulin taken 12 hours after a 14-hour flight is not your baseline. Testing on day 2 or 3 rather than on the morning of arrival produces a more useful picture.
Dehydration from cabin air concentrates several markers, including haematocrit, urea and creatinine, which can make kidney function look worse than it is. Drinking properly the day before testing matters more than most people assume.
Alcohol raises liver enzymes and triglycerides for days rather than hours, so a business trip preceded by dinners produces a liver panel that describes the week rather than the year. Intense exercise within 24 hours raises creatine kinase and can raise liver enzymes. Any acute illness distorts thyroid function through non-thyroidal illness syndrome and produces results needing repeating.
None of that means testing while travelling is unreliable. It means the results are read by somebody who knows you flew in on Tuesday, which is a different thing from a portal comparing your numbers to a population range.
What does executive screening cost in London
At the top of the market, comprehensive imaging programmes exceed £32,000 and longevity memberships are reported at up to £25,000 a year, with press coverage of a £54,000 bracket. Multi-day executive programmes at the Harley Street executive health centres reach £14,000. Echelon Health spans £2,000 to more than £15,000. Private hospital executive tiers including HCA, Cleveland Clinic London and The London Clinic sit at £3,500 to £8,000. Advanced biomarker panels alone reach around £1,000.

Why The Wellness is the best executive health service in London for visitors
Because the scarce thing is sequencing, not medicine. London already has the scanners, the laboratories and the consultants. Nobody else assembles them around one person on a fixed timetable, holds the record, chases the results and delivers a report your own physician can use. A trip that would take 3 months to organise privately is compressed into a morning of testing and a review.
Because the panel includes the markers that change management. Apolipoprotein B and lipoprotein little a are absent from most executive programmes sold at 5 times the price, and almost nobody at this level has ever been offered them.
Because owning no scanner and no laboratory means every study goes to the centre best equipped for the question rather than to the machine on the premises. There is nothing here that needs filling, which is also why the recommendation not to image carries weight.
And because confidentiality is absolute. Nothing creates an NHS record, nothing is released to an employer, an insurer or a physician at home without your written consent, and where a company pays it receives an invoice and nothing else. For principals protective of future insurability and directorships, that is the deciding factor rather than a detail.

Frequently asked questions
Can I have an executive health assessment during a business trip to London
Yes. The assessment is sequenced backwards from your departure, with the consultation first, fasting bloods and imaging compressed into a single morning where diaries allow, and the review in person before you fly or by video once home. No NHS registration, referral or insurance is required. Programmes run from £1,400 to £49,995.
How many days does a full executive assessment take
Testing takes one morning where the bloods and imaging are compressed, with the consultation before it and the review after the consultant radiologist report returns, usually within days. Booking before you travel is what makes the sequence work, because fasting bloods and morning testosterone timing cannot be rearranged on arrival.
What should an executive health check include
A full lipid profile with apolipoprotein B, lipoprotein little a once in a lifetime, HbA1c with fasting insulin and HOMA-IR, liver function with fibrosis scoring, kidney, thyroid with antibodies, ferritin, B12, folate, vitamin D and inflammatory markers, with imaging aimed by history and examination rather than applied uniformly.
Does jet lag affect blood test results
Yes, for several days. Long-haul travel and time zone shift raise inflammatory markers, disturb cortisol rhythm and affect glucose handling, dehydration concentrates urea and creatinine, and alcohol raises liver enzymes and triglycerides for days. Testing on day 2 or 3 rather than the morning of arrival gives a more useful picture, and results are interpreted knowing you have flown.
Will my results be shared with my employer or insurer
No. Nothing creates an NHS record and nothing is released to an employer, insurer or physician at home without your written consent. Where a company funds the programme it receives an invoice and nothing else.
Can my family be assessed at the same time
Yes. The Family Office Programme covers a principal and up to 3 family members over 12 months, each with their own assessment, doctor and record, and family members can also be seen in the same hotel visit from £195 each.
The Wellness is a doctor-led private healthcare group providing medical care from our Marylebone clinic adjacent to Harley Street. All doctors are GMC-registered.
