Online GP for Skin Conditions

Video GP consultations are ideal for skin conditions. Show the doctor your rash, acne, or skin concern on camera. Get a diagnosis and prescription the same day. No waiting weeks for an NHS appointment.

Why Video Works for Skin

Skin conditions are visual. A GP can see:

  • Colour and appearance of the rash

  • Distribution on your body

  • Texture and scaling

  • Signs of infection

Video allows real-time assessment. The doctor can ask you to move closer, show different areas, and assess in good lighting.

How the Consultation Works

Before Your Appointment:

  • Take clear photos in good lighting (backup if video quality is poor)

  • Note when it started, any triggers, treatments tried

  • Have a list of current medications

During the Consultation:

  • Show the affected area on camera

  • Doctor will ask questions and examine visually

  • Diagnosis explained

  • Treatment prescribed if appropriate

After:

  • Prescription sent to pharmacy

  • Written advice if needed

  • Follow-up arranged if appropriate

When You Need In-Person Assessment

Some skin concerns need physical examination:

  • Moles that need dermatoscopy

  • Deep infections needing drainage

  • Biopsies or skin sampling

  • Very extensive rashes needing full-body examination

The GP will tell you if in-person assessment is needed and can refer you appropriately.
