If you feel unwell after Halloween, the most useful first step is understanding what is causing the symptoms. An IV can deliver fluid when clinically needed, but it is not a proven hangover cure or a shortcut to sobriety. The Wellness concierge can help you enquire about assessment and suitable London residence or hotel options.

What happens in the body after a late night?
Alcohol can increase urine production by suppressing vasopressin, the hormone that helps the kidneys retain water. Fluid loss may contribute to thirst and headache. But the science is broader than dehydration: disturbed sleep, stomach irritation, inflammation and alcohol metabolism also contribute to feeling unwell. NIAAA explains these overlapping mechanisms.
That is why replacing fluid alone cannot be assumed to remove every symptom. A busy morning, a flight or an important meeting does not change the biology. The positive goal is a sensible recovery plan, with clinical help when needed, rather than buying a promise to erase the night before.
Does a hangover IV drip work?
An intravenous line delivers fluid directly into the bloodstream. That can be useful for a medical fluid requirement; it does not prove that an otherwise well person who can drink will recover faster from a hangover. NIAAA reports no scientifically proven hangover remedy and no established link between added electrolytes and reduced hangover severity.
Mayo Clinic distinguishes legitimate nutritional treatment in specific medical situations from broad wellness claims in people with normal intake and levels. Evidence that a vitamin has a normal role in energy metabolism is not evidence that an extra intravenous dose restores your energy after a party. The right assessment can identify a useful treatment, an alternative or a reason not to have an infusion.
What makes a premium recovery appointment valuable?
Value lies in individual attention: reviewing symptoms, medicines, allergies and health history; deciding whether treatment is appropriate; explaining the plan; and agreeing how to obtain help afterwards. For a London resident or hotel guest, avoiding an unnecessary journey can matter too.
Ask who assesses, prescribes where necessary and administers any treatment. Confirm monitoring and aftercare before proceeding. Ask our concierge about a recovery assessment. Tell the team your postcode or hotel, symptoms and preferred time; the enquiry starts a discussion, not an automatic drip order.
How do high-end London prices compare?
Premium London menus extend well beyond a basic hydration visit. REVIV at Harrods publishes a 500 mg NAD+ infusion at £799 with a B12 booster; Ruuby lists a Limitless NAD+ package from £740 and a bespoke home IV from £446. These are different formulations and experiences, not equivalent hangover treatments or proof of better recovery.
The Wellness clinic menu lists Apex Performance at £1,275, NAD+ Therapy at £600, Myer's Cocktail at £495 and Hydration Plus at £395. A higher menu price does not establish a stronger medical effect. These are clinic-menu examples, not a complete residence or hotel quote. Ask what consultation, travel, attendance and follow-up would cost in your case before confirming.
Can I enquire about a home or hotel visit today?
Yes. Message The Wellness with your London address, the reason for the request and your available time. The concierge can check a suitable attendance plan, including residence or hotel options where clinically appropriate. Same-day or next-day options must be confirmed against the clinician, treatment and address; no slot is reserved by reading this page.
At a hotel, arrange visitor access and a quiet private space. Do not assume a spa or hotel has endorsed the service. Check today's suitable options on WhatsApp and request the complete written price.
What is a sensible recovery plan, and when is help urgent?
If you can drink and symptoms are mild, rest, ordinary fluids and food as tolerated are usually a better starting point than assuming you need a needle. Choosing not to drink, or drinking less, avoids the need to seek a remedy. An infusion should never be used as permission to drink more. A hangover can still impair driving and decision-making.
Being difficult to wake, slow or irregular breathing, seizures, collapse or severe confusion is an emergency: call 999 in the UK, not a concierge drip service. Persistent vomiting, inability to keep fluids down or worsening symptoms need prompt medical assessment. Tell the clinician about alcohol and any other substances honestly. The safest next step may be urgent care rather than a home visit.
