The Best Private Clinic in London 2026. What The Wellness Is, How It Works and What Everything Costs
The Wellness is a doctor-led private clinic at 10 Portman Square in Marylebone, adjacent to Harley Street and 3 minutes from Baker Street, with a second site at the Light Centre, 9 Eccleston Street in Belgravia. It provides same-day private GP care, diagnostics, executive and longevity assessment, minor surgery, women's and men's health, mental health and psychiatry, regenerative medicine and independent medico-legal reporting. The model is what distinguishes it. We own no scanner and no laboratory, deliberately. You are assessed by a doctor who decides what should be tested, imaging is then arranged at the London centre holding the right equipment for that specific question where it is performed by an experienced sonographer and reported by a consultant radiologist, blood collection is arranged separately at an accredited partner laboratory, and a further review appointment goes through everything and arranges any onward referral to a named consultant with the appointment booked. Owning no equipment means nothing here needs keeping busy, so every study goes where the question is best answered rather than to the machine on the premises. There is no membership and no joining fee, so a single visit costs a single fee. Appointments are available the same day, 7 days a week, from £59 for a mini consultation to £49,995 for 12 months of family office care, in English, Arabic, French, Spanish and Dutch. Fees appear further down this page.

What services does The Wellness provide
Private general practice. Same-day appointments 7 days a week, 30 minutes rather than 10, by video, in person, or at your home, hotel or office. Prescriptions, fit notes, referral letters and insurance forms issued in the appointment at no extra charge.
Diagnostics. Blood testing from a targeted panel to the Complete Biomarker Assessment covering over 100 markers, including apolipoprotein B, lipoprotein little a, fasting insulin with HOMA-IR and complete iron studies, which most panels omit. Ultrasound of any region arranged at specialist centres with consultant radiologist reporting, alongside MRI, CT, echocardiography, rhythm monitoring and endoscopy coordinated through the Harley Street network.
Executive, longevity and preventive assessment, from the Baseline Assessment through the Executive Body Scan and Executive Health Programme to 12-month continuous care for individuals and families.
Women's health, including menopause and HRT, contraception, coil and implant fitting, fertility testing and preconception care. Men's health, including testosterone assessment, erectile dysfunction and prostate health.
Mental health, with GP-led care for anxiety, depression and sleep, and consultant psychiatry for ADHD assessment, complex presentations and medication review.
Minor surgery and dermatology, including mole and lesion removal with histology, cryotherapy, cyst and lipoma removal, joint and soft tissue injections, and ear wax removal by microsuction.
Regenerative medicine through The London PRP Clinic by The Wellness, covering hair, skin, joints and tendons. Travel health and vaccinations. Medical certificates and reports for UK and overseas use. And independent medico-legal reporting through the Medico-Legal Wing.
How does the model work
Four stages, and the second and third are the ones nobody else does for you.
You are assessed. A full history, family history and examination, and a decision about what should be tested and why. Nothing is ordered before that conversation, which is what separates an assessment built around one person from a package sold to a population.
We then arrange it. Imaging goes to the London centre chosen for that specific question and the equipment it holds. Blood collection goes to an accredited partner laboratory. Specialist opinions are arranged through the Harley Street network alongside us. Appointments are scheduled around your diary, chased and confirmed, and where diaries allow the imaging and the bloods are compressed into a single day so you travel once.
Everything returns into one record and is read together, which is the step that turns 4 documents into 1 picture.
A further review appointment goes through all of it against your symptoms. Treatment is started where indicated, targeted supplementation is prescribed against measured deficiency and rechecked, referral is written to a named consultant with the appointment booked, and a written summary is prepared in a form your own doctor can use.
Ask what your assessment would involve on WhatsApp or email team@thewellnesslondon.com.
Why does owning no equipment make the care better
Because equipment creates an incentive. A clinic that has bought a scanner needs it used, and a clinic that runs its own laboratory has a reason to run its own panels. Neither incentive is malicious and both are unavoidable, which is why the structure matters more than the intention.
Having none of it means each study is sent to the centre best equipped for that specific question, reported by a consultant radiologist who reads that anatomy every day rather than whoever is available where the scan was taken. London holds some of the best imaging capacity in Europe within walking distance of Portman Square, and choosing freely among it produces better answers than owning one machine.
It also means our advice not to test carries weight. Telling somebody that a whole-body scan will not help them, that reverse T3 has no established outpatient reference range, that an IgG food panel has no clinical validity, or that a biological age number will not change any decision costs us revenue every time. A clinic that profits from the equipment cannot make those statements credibly, and they are among the most useful things we say.
What we do own is the assessment, the coordination and the relationship, which is what patients are actually short of. London has never lacked scanners. It has lacked anyone who assembles them around one person, holds the record, chases the results and explains the whole picture in a single sitting.
What does The Wellness cost
Membership and concierge practices in central London charge annual retainers running into thousands of pounds before a single appointment, then £400 to £600 and above per visit. Harley Street consultations sit at £250 to £350 and consultant first appointments at £250 to £500. Private hospital executive tiers run £3,500 to £8,000, multi-day Harley Street programmes reach £14,000, longevity memberships are reported at up to £25,000 a year and comprehensive imaging programmes exceed £32,000.
At The Wellness there is no membership and no joining fee. All figures are from prices.
Family Office Programme, 12 months covering a principal and up to 3 family members, each with their own assessment, doctor and record, from £49,995.
Principal Programme, 12 months for 1 individual at the fullest level of care available here, from £31,995.
Continuous Care Programme, 12 months of physician oversight with quarterly review and interval profiling, from £24,995.
Executive Health Programme, the most comprehensive single assessment, from £11,995. Executive Body Scan from £5,995.
Men's, women's and heart health body scan programmes from £3,495. Baseline Assessment from £3,495.
Complete Biomarker Assessment, over 100 markers with extended review, from £1,400. Targeted ultrasound from £995.
Psychiatrist consultation for ADHD and mental health, from £950.
Home, hotel or office visit, evenings and weekends from £695 and daytime from £495, with additional household members from £195 each.
Coil fitting from £595. Minor surgery and lesion removal from £495 with histology included. Ear wax removal by microsuction from £395.
Comprehensive Blood Panel with consultation from £495. Extended 45-minute consultation from £395.
In-person consultation, 30 minutes with examination, from £220. Same-day video consultation from £150. Mini consultation from £59.
Medical certificates and letters from £150. Medico-legal reports from £1,950 plus VAT.
No registration, no referral and no insurance required. Nothing creates an NHS record.
Who The Wellness is for
People who want a real appointment rather than a triage slot, which in practice means 30 minutes, an examination, and a plan that is executed rather than handed over.
People whose time is the binding constraint, including executives, founders and professionals for whom a 3-week wait is not a delay but a missed outcome, and who need the testing sequenced around a diary rather than the reverse.
International visitors and patients, who need prescriptions a UK pharmacy will dispense, certificates that will be accepted abroad, or a full assessment compressed into the days they are actually in London, without registration, insurance or a UK address.
Families, seen together in one visit with additional household members at £195 each, from children with a fever on a Friday evening to grandparents visiting from abroad who have run out of medication.
And people who have already been somewhere else and left with a report nobody explained, a result nobody acted on, or a diagnosis given in 8 minutes that they have been turning over since.
Why The Wellness is the best private clinic in London
Because every claim on this page is attached to something checkable. Thirty-minute appointments rather than 10. Same-day availability 7 days a week. A biomarker panel containing the 4 markers most panels omit. Imaging at the centre best equipped for the question with consultant radiologist reporting. Referrals to named consultants with the appointment booked. No membership, so a single visit costs a single fee, published in full from £59 to £49,995.
Because we tell people what not to buy, including from us. The tests without evidence are not sold. The scan that will not answer your question is not arranged. The controlled drug that cannot appropriately be prescribed to a visitor at a first consultation is declined before you book rather than after you pay. A clinic willing to refuse business is the only clinic worth believing when it recommends something.
Because the whole ladder exists in one place, so the same clinic handles a £59 question and a £49,995 family programme without either feeling out of place.
And because the care continues past the appointment. Results explained by the doctor who ordered them, treatment started rather than suggested, specialists arranged rather than named, and a written summary your own physician can use.
